Some of my Masks
Over the years I have made many masks. Here are a few only. Often I work in papier mache. Either I sculpt a clay model and make a plaster mold or else I papier mache directly on the sculpted clay model. I sometimes use plaster bandage to make masks.
I have never made more than 3 masks from one mold, and then always painted and finished them differently.
I make masks for many reasons. To wear sometimes, as a material exploration and sometimes as an exploration of form and how it affects perception.
