These are a few of the photos I took between 1:30 and 3:00 am during the Total Lunar Eclipse. I experimented with exposure. If I used long exposure the photos became blurry because of the movement of the earth. Even 10 seconds made a line of stars and blurr the shot. If I used short exposure the lovely browny red colour of the darkened area did not show up. There was not much post shooting manipulation other than cropping the images.
It was quite cold but my little cat Winston was delighted to assist.
I used a Canon Rebel on a tripod. Since I am in the city and there are street lights everywhere I had to position myself carefully to avoid direct glare.
